Vada with leftover rice Ingredients & Method in the description box Today lets make rice using rice. For that I have taken two cups of rice. I make using normal rice that is used for cooking. First lets put this rice in a mixing jar/blender and blend it. When you blend this rice you don’t have to add any water. Now let’s blend this very well. Now that rice is mixed very well. Put this mix into another bowl. Now to make the vada. I have taken a chopped onion, one green chilli (chopped), some curry leaves, and a chopped ginger. Now lets add the onion and to the mixture. Now let’s add a ginger, green chilli, salt and add the curry leaves by ripping it into small pieces. Now to add to the vada I have taken 3 tablespoons of rice powder. I am taking non-fried rice powder. Add it to the vada. This will give the vada some thickness and crispness. Now I am adding 2 tablespoons of wheat flour into this mix. If you don’t add the wheat powder the mixture will be sticky and it wll not form the correct shape. Now to this I am adding a pinch of turmeric, some kashmiri chilli powder, and asafoeitda powder I am also adding some sesame seeds and jeerakam. Mix this all together and keep it aside Mix this very well. Wet your hands with water and mix it very well Now the batter for the vada is ready.Leave the batter aside for 30 minutes. Put a pan on the stove and turn the gas on. when the pan is heated pour enough oil. when the oil is heated, wipe your hands with oil and take some batter and form the shape of a vada. Put it into the pan. Turn the flame to a low. When you make the vada always wipe water otherwise the vada will stick to your fingers. When one side is fried, turn it over to the other side. Now the vada is fully fried. Take it out of the pan. Put it into a tissue paper to remove the oil. Repeat the same process with the remaining batter. This vada is very soft and crispy. And will stay fresh for 2-3 days. Thanks for watching, please do subscribe too our channel. Muthassiyude Adukkala.
