Welcome to Pot to Plates Kitchen, Today i am going to show how to make delicious Garlic Pepper rice. Its a Very easy Lunch Box recipe, If you have cooked rice. It takes only 5 minutes to prepare this dish. In a heated Pan, add 2 tsp ghee once it is melted add 1/2 tsp mustard seeds, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp Chana dal, 1 tsp urad dal & saute till it turns golden brown. If you dont like taste of Urad dal & Chana dal, add less quantity. Add 3 whole dry red chillies & saute well. Its added for the flavor and aroma so dont cut them. Add 10 cashew nuts, this is optional if you dont want to add cashew nuts add groundnuts & saute well. Add Fresh curry leaves & saute well. Once the Cashew nuts are fried, add 10 Finely chopped garlic cloves & saute well. Add 1 Finely chopped onion & saute well. I didn’t added any Green chillies as Pepper powder spiciness is enough for this recipe. If you like add green chillies. Once these are sauted well, Add 1 cup cooked rice to this & mix well. I have added Basmati rice, normal rice can also be added. Add 1 tsp Pepper powder & mix it well. I have added salt while cooking the rice so didn’t added salt after that. After adding the Pepper, mix it well & saute for 2 mins. This will go well with Potato fry, raw plantain fry or Mushroom masala etc. I have used the Chilli Garlic Mushroom which i have prepared earlier as side dish for this recipe.
